Landen's love for music and his new guitar!!

My Landen has a love for music like no other child I've ever seen! He has been singing since he could talk (and even before that, he would lie in his crib and hum himself to sleep at night)and he loves any kind of instrument he can get his hands on...whether it be drums (like his daddy), a keyboard, or a guitar like the one his Papaw (my dad) bought him this past weekend. I'm so excited to see how God is going use him musically some day!!!

He already has a desire at 3 to sing in front of the church, and even gave it a go one Sunday...but still has a bit of stage fright. But that day he showed more courage than a lot of adults I've seen. :) And all he did was walk up there. But to me that was surely the first step to doing something great for God...whether he realizes or understands all that or not. And I know some people might say..yeah but he's only 3..what does he know about music or singing or even about God? But how could I discourage him from doing anything for the Lord? Who am I to decide when he is ready? If he is ready now...GREAT! If not, that's fine too. Can't God work through a child?? I say YES!! And so does He!!!(Matt. 19:14..."But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not to come unto me, for of such is the kingdom of heaven.")

I am honored that God gave me such a sweet spirited little boy with such a love for people and for music...and I know as he grows he will also realize who God is and "why" we do the things we do as his children. And that day will be a GLORIOUS day when he accepts Christ as his Savior!!
